2018 Highlights:
• The southpaw appeared in 38 games for the Chicago Dogs of the American Association and posted a 2.60 ERA, fanning 60 batters in 74 2/3 innings
• Came up just shy of statistically qualifying in the AA, but would’ve ranked sixth in the league in ERA if he qualified
• Appeared in three games for the New Britain Bees, started two games and had a 1-1 record
Previous Career:
• Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 8th round of the 2014 MLB June Amateur Draft out of the University of Oregon
• Spent four seasons in the Cubs system, reaching as high as AAA Iowa in 2017
• After leaving the Cubs organization Thorpe joined the Chicago Dogs in 2018, finished the season with the New Britain Bees
