Biography:
Jacob Gililland is a 23-year-old right-handed pitcher from Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Gililland attended Next Level Academy in Montgomery, Alabama, before the Los Angeles Dodgers drafted him in the 32nd round.
The fireballer was with the Dodgers from 2018 to 2019, after COVID-19 Gililland signed a contract to join the Chicago White Sox organization. This past year, the Mississippi native spent the year with the Frontier League’s Lake Erie Crushers; he appeared in just eight games for the team.
This will be his first year with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs and his first in the Atlantic League.
