Andre Scrubb is a right-handed pitcher from Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was a pitcher at High Point University, where in his junior year, he struck out 94 hitters in just 74 innings pitched. The Los Angeles Dodgers would select the hurler in the 8th round in the 2016 draft.
Scrubb would be traded to the Houston Astros in 2019 for Tyler White; he would make his MLB debut in 2020 with the club. Becoming a reliable bullpen arm, the Astros pitched Scrubb in 20 games in the COVID-shortened season, and he concluded the year with a 1.90 ERA. The reliever pitched in the WBC with Great Britain this past February.
